What We Do

Youth Creating Change (YCC) is dedicated to providing support to student led initiatives combatting hate and social injustice. YCC provides its fellows with training, mentorship, grants, and public recognition. Youths (high school age or younger) from across the country are welcome to participate, as our programs are administered virtually.

Mentorship

YCC will connect adults and experienced student organizers to serve as mentors to grant recipients. Students will benefit from the skills and experience of the mentor to improve and further their project.

Student Leadership Trainings

Become more effective leaders and organizers by participating in twice-monthly trainings led by experienced student organizers and community activists. During these virtual trainings, you will learn from a combination of lectures and breakout sessions with mentors who will help you apply what you learn from the lectures to your activism project.

Jon Randall Monetary Grants

YCC will provide Jon Randall Monetary Grants of up to $2,000 to students to kick start their projects or expand existing ones. These grants can be used for a wide range of project costs, including web hosting, food and drinks for meetings, travel expenses, supplies for events, copy costs, art supplies, and other expenses.
