Hate Incident Reported at Churchill High School

A Churchill student whose class was currently studying the Holocaust, was sent an anti-Semitic text message last week. The text was sent via an app that replaces the sender's phone number with a fake number. Teachers, parents, and local police have been notified about the incident.

This incident is part of an disturbing trend in Montgomery County's schools. Messages of hate, including swastikas and racist graffiti, have been popping up in schools across the county. In late 2016, a "whites only" sign was put up in one of Churchill's bathrooms.
